About the role
Clinical Nurse Coordinator responsible for ensuring compliance with standards of practice, patient safety, and professional development in a healthcare setting. Supports physician practices by liaising between clinical staff and leadership to manage staffing and patient care. Collaborates with leadership to uphold standards per regulations such as the NYS Nurse Practice Act, Joint Commission, and CMS.
Responsibilities
- Supervises RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, and Receptionists, ensuring quality clinical operations
- Supports patient care across all age groups
- Manages staffing and patient care in collaboration with leadership
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Minimum 3 years' experience in healthcare
- Current NY State RN license required
- CPR certification required
Skills
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (NYS Nurse Practice Act, Joint Commission, CMS) preferred
- Leadership experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office preferred
Work environment
Performs in an office setting with exposure to equipment disinfectants and PPE use, requiring mobility and occasional site travel. Engages in fast-paced, interruption-prone environment.
