Registered Nurse (RN) - Circulating Operating Room - Full Time Day

Role Overview

The RN Clinical Periop Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care in the operating room environment, collaborating within an interdisciplinary team. They ensure individualized care using evidence-based practices, perform the nursing process, and promote cultural competence. The role involves coordinating care, supporting performance improvement initiatives, and mentoring colleagues to foster a healthy work environment. Adherence to professional standards, policies, and regulatory requirements is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Partner with patients and families, ensuring clear communication and personalized care.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through effective teamwork and documentation.
• Support performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practices.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to promote workforce development.
• Participate in protocol development and resource management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed RN with a minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• BSN degree preferred; Diploma in nursing accepted.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to professional development and compliance with healthcare standards.
