Lead and oversee daily unit operations on a shift to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Make patient assignments and manage patient flow
- Coordinate with physicians and participate in resource planning
- Provide clinical oversight and perform patient rounds
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices, safety standards, and patient-centered care
- Foster teamwork and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Support performance improvement initiatives
- Mentor staff and support hospital protocols
- Ensure compliance with policies to promote excellence in patient outcomes and staff development
Requirements
- Licensure as a registered nurse (RN)
- Strong clinical expertise and leadership skills
- Knowledge of nursing practice standards and ethics
