RN Charge Nurse - MedSurg - Full Time Nights

About the role

This position involves providing high-quality nursing care as part of a patient care team, serving as a frontline representative between patients, families, and healthcare providers. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, ensuring safety, confidentiality, and adherence to professional standards. The role requires active participation in shared governance and quality improvement efforts, with duties aligned to organizational policies and standards, supporting a culture of excellence and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions; assist with care planning and prioritize daily patient flow.
• Deliver safe, effective care with proper documentation of assessments, interventions, and incidents.
• Advocate for patients, address concerns, and communicate health information to families and staff.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support organizational goals.
• Maintain professional licenses, certifications, and pursue ongoing development.
• Mentor and support fellow nurses, fostering a positive, professional work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associates or Bachelor's Nursing degree preferred.
• Current RN license (multi-state or single-state); BLS certification required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
