About the Role

5 Heart tower is a 30-bed Cardiac Medical-Surgical Unit specializing in pre- and post-cardiac procedures and serves as an ICU step-down for patients requiring close cardiac monitoring. We care for patients recovering from cardiac catheterizations, device placements, and electrophysiology procedures. A fast-paced, team-oriented unit that offers opportunities to develop strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex cardiac care. Atrium Health Navicent- The Medical Center is a nationally recognized academic medical center, nationally-verified Level 1 Trauma Center, Magnet® hospital for nursing, and serves a service area of 30 counties with a population of nearly 750,000 persons. The facility has over 4,500 employees and a medical staff of approximately 700 physicians. As the second largest hospital in Georgia, it is licensed for 637 beds, including pediatrics, medical surgical, trauma, and cardiac surgery. The Emergency Department treats over 140,000 visitors per year and includes helipad capability and three urgent care centers. MCNH provides a broad range of community-based outpatient diagnostic, primary care, wellness, and comprehensive rehabilitation services. It is the primary academic hospital for Mercer University School of Medicine, offering residency and fellowship programs for over 100 residents, and is affiliated with multiple universities as a clinical education site.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required/expected within 6 months of hire date
• Cardiac/critical care experience preferred

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
