Rehabilitation & Extended Care Float Pool RN position providing patient care across multiple clinical areas, including Community Living Center (CLC), Behavioral Recovery Unit, Hospice/Palliative Care, Spinal Cord Injury & Disorders, and Acute Polytrauma. The role supports patient care initiatives and quality improvement programs while participating in professional governance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care in assigned clinical settings.
- Support and participate in program quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in professional governance activities.
Requirements
- Proficiency in basic written and spoken English.
- Graduation from a professional nursing school approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.
- Foreign nursing graduates must possess a current, full, active, and unrestricted registration and provide formal degree equivalency validation from a recognized equivalency evaluation service (e.g., International Consultants of Delaware).
Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) Exception: Candidates meeting basic education requirements but lacking licensure may be appointed on a 120-day temporary basis (extendable up to two years) while pursuing licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of recent nursing experience.
Note: Employees in the 0610 series performing duties as described on 1/29/2024 are grandfathered under these qualification requirements.
