Registered Nurse (R.N.) Nurse Manager (Full-Time, Days)

Responsibilities

Daily Management. Ensure safe and appropriate staffing levels and skills during all hours of operation; maintain ongoing communication with staff regarding performance; develop and assess department goals and objectives; act as a resource to department, staff, patients and other department staff and the community.

Leadership. Act as a liaison and facilitate the flow of information; assure completion of incident reports and patient complaints with appropriate follow-up; support and communicate standards of care, management philosophy and objectives; provide input regarding departmental budget for staffing supplies.

Patient Care. Develop the resident care plan and ensure implementation through the interdisciplinary team; develop, implement and evaluate in conjunction with Senior Director of a department Quality Improvement Plan.

Requirements

• Registered in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Nursing Degree required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years acute/continuing care clinical experience preferred.
  • MDS proficiency preferred.
  • Strong Leadership and communication skills.
  • BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
• RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
• Education: BSN preferred.

Physical Requirements

• M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

Pay

$85,000.00 - $135,000.00
