About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) supervises staff, ensures quality resident care, and manages daily nursing operations.
Responsibilities
- Assigns staff duties equitably, supports teamwork, and encourages proper resident care within acceptable timeframes.
- Performs resident assessments, reports concerns promptly, and completes shift reports for the Director of Nursing.
- Communicates any events needing administrative attention and manages staff discipline, responsibility, and accountability.
- Develops staff goals, promotes professionalism, and serves as a resource for nursing personnel.
- Uses sound judgment in directing patient care, reviews and revises care plans, and ensures proper documentation.
- Implements resident and family education, assesses physical, spiritual, and emotional needs, and collaborates with Charge Nurses.
- Maintains knowledge of emergency procedures, safety protocols, and monitors quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the relevant state.
- Two years of supervisory experience in long-term care preferred.
- Three to five years of nursing experience in similar settings.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and transfer residents safely.
- Manual dexterity, proper documentation skills, and visual acuity.
- Ability to manage diverse activities effectively.
Pay
$63,943 - $106,407 annually.
