Registered Nurse - Psych Unit

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions
• Monitor patient conditions and document in EMR
• Respond to psychiatric crises with de-escalation and intervention techniques
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and provide patient education
• Implement seclusion and restraint procedures as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge planning
• Promote patient safety, recovery, and positive outcomes

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid State RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Knowledge of Mental Health Laws, behavioral health programming, and interdisciplinary treatment processes
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care
