Registered Nurse - Psych Unit

About the Role

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with behavioral health and psychiatric conditions in an Adult Intensive Unit serving male patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments
• Monitor patient conditions and document in EMR
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques
• Facilitate therapeutic groups
• Educate patients and families
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Implement safety procedures, including seclusion and restraint when necessary
• Promote positive clinical outcomes and support patient recovery
• Ensure patient safety and deliver individualized nursing care
• Respond effectively to psychiatric emergencies
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education

Requirements

• Current and valid State RN license
• BLS certification
• Knowledge of Mental Health Laws, behavioral health programming, and interdisciplinary treatment processes
• Understanding of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care continuum
