*Registered Nurse - Psych
Responsibilities
- Treat patients
- Provide education on mental and medical conditions
- Offer emotional support to patients and/or family members
- Run therapeutic groups
- Perform psychiatric crisis intervention
- Implement seclusion and restraint procedures
- Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms
- Help perform diagnostic tests and analyze results
- Operate medical machinery
- Administer treatment and medications
- Support patient follow-up and rehabilitation
- Teach patients and their families about managing illnesses or injuries
- Provide diet and exercise guidance
- Teach self-administration of medication and physical therapy
Qualifications
- Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
- Knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process
- Understanding of behavioral health programming
- Experience with inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
- Knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.70 to $54.11. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
Schedule
Full-Time, Nights, 7p-7a, every other weekend and rotating holidays
