**Registered Nurse - Psych

Responsibilities

• Treat patients
• Provide educational services to patients and family members
• Run therapeutic groups
• Crisis intervention
• Seclusion and restraint of patients
• Record patient medical histories and symptoms
• Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results
• Operate medical machinery
• Administer treatment and medications
• Help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation
• Teach patients and their families about managing illnesses or injuries, diet, exercise programs, and self-administration of medication and physical therapy

Qualifications

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
• Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
• Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care

Pay

Competitive compensation with a reasonable estimate of $52.00 per hour. Exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection.
