About the Role

The RN Program Coordinator provides clinical expertise, consultation, education, and research within their specialty area. They ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, promote evidence-based patient care, and coordinate care across the continuum. The role includes developing and reviewing clinical protocols, monitoring care quality, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. It may also involve managerial oversight, strategic and budget planning, and acting as a liaison for stakeholders. The coordinator evaluates program effectiveness, monitors clinical outcomes, and enhances patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical care across the continuum.
  • Develop and review clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor care quality and clinical outcomes.
  • Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide clinical expertise, consultation, and education in the specialty area.
  • Support collaboration among staff and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote best practices.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and enhance patient experience.
  • Participate in strategic and budget planning (if applicable).

Requirements

  • Current RN license and BLS certification.
  • BSN required; must obtain within four years if not already held.
  • Demonstrated expertise in disease-specific care, quality management, and educational program development.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, critical thinking, and data analysis.

Qualifications

Preferred experience includes:

  • 3-5 years in ortho/neuro surgery in a Level I or II hospital.
  • RN coordinator or Charge RN experience.
  • Relevant certifications in the specialty area.
