About the role

Provides direct and indirect patient care in various healthcare settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to administer treatments, educate patients and families, and ensure patient safety. Maintains patient autonomy, dignity, and rights while promoting health restoration.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical conditions.
• Administer medications as prescribed and perform treatments requiring technical skills.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Address psychosocial needs and communicate with social services for discharge planning.
• Practice cost-effective care and resource management.
• Prioritize patient needs and promote safety by minimizing risks.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Skills

• Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS.
