About the Role
This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in various care settings, focusing on high-quality nursing services. The role requires collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, ensuring patient autonomy, dignity, and rights are preserved, and promoting health restoration whenever possible.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed and perform treatments using nursing knowledge.
- Provide patient education, including family involvement, tailored to individual learning needs.
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care.
- Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical/manual services.
- Address psychosocial needs of patients and families, coordinating with social services for discharge planning.
- Practice cost-effectively by minimizing waste and managing resources efficiently.
- Prioritize patient safety to reduce risks and harm.
- Engage in lifelong learning to stay current in nursing practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Computer literacy.
- RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
Skills
- Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS.
