PRN Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Role Overview Provides direct and indirect patient care in various settings, ensuring high-quality treatment through critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate communication. Collaborates with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizes care effectively. Key Responsibilities Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.Administer prescribed medications and provide age-appropriate care and self-care activities.Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans, including psychosocial support and discharge planning.Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and assist physicians with procedures.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.Practice cost-effective resource management and promote patient safety.Engage in lifelong learning to enhance nursing skills and knowledge. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of one year of nursing experience.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Computer literacy.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS.
