Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Identifies and manages patient risks, develops discharge plans, and monitors patient progress
• Administers medications safely and educates patients on their prescribed treatments
• Documents patient care accurately and ensures continuity of care
• Communicates with staff and patients to provide support and advocacy
• Adapts to a high-stress environment and manages patient escalations
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans

Requirements

• Current, active RN license in the state of employment
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
• One year of inpatient hospital experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively and handle high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and ability to apply appropriate interventions
• CPR certification and completion of an Oceans-approved behavioral health de-escalation program
