Registered Nurse - PRN

About the role

Registered Nurse responsible for delivering professional and technical nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care while supporting hospital standards and fostering a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
• Educate patients, families, and significant others about health conditions and care plans.
• Create and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of patient information.
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately.
• Take initiative for professional growth and development, utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout patient episodes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Active nursing license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum six months of RN experience.
