Registered Nurse-PRN

About the role

Our center is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse committed to providing excellent quality care in an Outpatient Endoscopy Center. You will play a critical role in providing pre and post procedural care for endoscopy procedures.

Schedule

• Available shifts Monday–Friday, 6:45 am–3:00 pm and 7:45 am–4:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications

• Outgoing, positive attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians
• Ability to think critically, make logical decisions, and solve problems
• Strong ethical and moral character references
• Proficient and respectful communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of nursing techniques
• Basic computer skills
• One (1) year of ICU, Outpatient surgical prep/recovery, PACU, or Endoscopy experience
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Active South Carolina RN license or compact state license
• Current CPR and ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Continuously assess and monitor the physical and emotional status of the patient; document and report per policy and procedure
• Organize nursing activities efficiently and effectively
• Use proper techniques and procedures according to accepted standards of practice
• Address patient needs specific to the anticipated procedure
• Provide comfort and reassurance to each patient
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide safe continuity of patient care
• Actively participate as a team member in support of the total endoscopy process
• Supervise and direct patient care in pre-, intra-, and post-op
