About the Role
This role emphasizes patient education, collaboration, and adherence to nursing best practices to support surgical patients effectively.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-surgical patient interviews and education via telephone
- Collaborate with anesthesia and healthcare teams to ensure pre-surgical testing is completed
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, utilizing the nursing process
- Guide unlicensed personnel and ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Maintain current nursing standards, promote quality improvement, and integrate research into practice
- Communicate effectively across healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Current IL nursing license; BSN preferred
- Minimum 5 years of peri-anesthesia experience, with strong pre-admission testing background preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EPIC application is a plus
- Positive service orientation and commitment to organizational standards
Pay
$36.00 - $55.80/hour, based on experience
