Registered Nurse - Pre-Admission Testing - Days

Position: Registered Nurse – Pre Procedure Services Location: Skokie, IL Type: Part-Time, 20 hours/week Responsibilities: Conduct telephone patient interviews prior to surgery, provide preoperative education, collaborate with anesthesia teams, ensure completion of pre-surgical testing, and deliver safe, compassionate nursing care. Utilize the nursing process for planning and evaluation, guide unlicensed staff, and communicate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards and promote quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications: IL Nursing License, NLN-accredited nursing education (BSN preferred), BLS/CPR certification, minimum 5 years’ peri-anesthesia experience, strong background in pre-admission testing, proficiency in EPIC required. Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient education abilities, with a focus on safety and high-quality care.
