Responsibilities
- Conducts patient interviews and education via telephone before surgeries
- Collaborates with anesthesia teams
- Ensures completion of pre-surgical testing
- Guides patients through pre-anesthetic evaluations
- Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Supervises unlicensed staff
- Maintains current nursing standards
- Promotes quality improvement and safety outcomes
- Integrates research into practice
Qualifications & Skills
- Current IL nursing license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 5 years peri-anesthesia experience
- Proficiency in EPIC application
- Strong collaboration skills
