About the role
Location: Skokie, IL (hybrid eligible after 6 months).
Responsibilities
- conducting pre-surgical patient interviews via telephone
- providing patient education
- collaborating with anesthesia providers
- ensuring completion of pre-surgical testing
- integrating research into nursing practice
- delivering safe, effective, compassionate care by utilizing the nursing process
- guiding unlicensed staff
- working with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
- promoting quality improvement and maintaining current nursing standards
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum of 5 years peri-anesthesia experience, with strong pre-admission testing background preferred
- Proficiency in EPIC application is desirable
Skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical skills in perioperative settings, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
Schedule
Part-time, 24 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
