Registered Nurse - Post Surgical PACU - PRN

Responsibilities

• Moves beyond basic nursing care to provide routine and complex care.
• Demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation and makes appropriate assignments and delegations.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans accordingly.
• Identifies learning needs and educates patients, family members, and caregivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Experience in a related nursing specialty, preferably in perioperative settings.
• BLS certification required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact.
• A current ACLS and PALS certification.
