Registered Nurse - Post Surgical PACU

About the Role

An experienced nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care, and developing long-term care strategies. Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs according to professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process, addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care activities accurately.
• Assess educational needs and provide information to patients, families, and caregivers, identifying resources and issues.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Completion of onboarding, competency validations, and annual requirements.
• Recent perioperative or OR experience; training in neonatal resuscitation, fetal monitoring, or trauma care preferred.

Schedule

Full-time, 6:30 AM to 3 PM.
