Registered Nurse - Peds PICU - Nights

About the Role

Provides specialized nursing care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), ensuring family-centered approaches for critically ill pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive treatment
• Providing emotional support and education to patients' families
• Adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards

Requirements

• Illinois RN license
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor's required within five years if only Associate Degree)
• Current BLS certification
• Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of hire
• Night shift availability with weekend and holiday rotations
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Qualifications

Preferred: 2+ years of pediatric PICU experience
