Registered Nurse, Pediatric Perianesthesia, PRN, Days, Wolfson Children's Hospital

About the role

Baptist Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) to our Pre-Op and Post-Op unit at Wolfson Surgery Center. This is a PRN Day shift opportunity with a commitment of 2 shifts per week. No major holidays, no weekends, and no call required.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
• Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case
• Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
• Organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses

Experience

• 2-4 years Emergency Department, ICU, Surgical Services Experience

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
