Responsibilities

• Check in and receive patient assignments
• Work closely with physicians and all operating room teams
• Work as a Circulating Nurse and meet patients in the OR until transferred to PACU care
• Ensure appropriate care for patients until transferred to PACU care
• Verify patient information, position the patient, manage the room, and initiate counts
• Coordinate, prepare assigned room/case
• Assess patients, anticipate needs of the case
• Document accurate and complete patient care during the intra-operative period
• Work as the patient’s primary advocate
• Follow sterile and aseptic techniques and sterilization processes

Requirements

• Registered Nurse, Pediatric Operating Room, Experience 1-2 years
• Perioperative Nursing Experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Qualifications

• No call coverage or holiday call
• Must have OR experience or Periop 101 class
