About the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Pediatrics for an Operating Room (OR) setting within a pediatric acute care hospital. In this PRN role, the nurse will provide patient assessments and interventions to ensure safety during surgeries, assist physicians, and facilitate continuity of care between the OR and patient care units.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient assessments and interventions to ensure safety during surgeries
- Assist physicians
- Facilitate continuity of care between the OR and patient care units
- Provide nursing care tailored to pediatric surgical patients
- Support the surgical team
- Ensure patient safety
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years OR (Peds) experience
- Ohio RN license
- BSN (or in progress)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
Qualifications
- PALS certification (preferred)
- American Heart Association certification
- CNOR certification
- Pediatric, reconstructive, or laser surgery experience
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Passable background screening
