Registered Nurse - PCU

About the Role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environment, utilizing advanced nursing skills within a technically complex setting. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, safe, and high-quality care, prioritizing patient wellness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver top-of-scope nursing care using the nursing process.
• Precept and mentor new healthcare staff and students.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Support specialty education and competency validation through clinical educators.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure.
• Minimum of 6 months ICU or PCU experience or completion of a fellowship program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through recognized organizations, valid for at least sixty days post-hire.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking abilities.
