Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: 1 Wyoming St, Dayton, OH 45409

Duration: 13 weeks

1.5 years of PCU experience
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
EPIC experience required
Ventilator experience required
IV start preferred
Travel experience preferred
Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
Application must show 1:5 ratio experience in Stepdown (SD) or PCU in the Work History section
ICU experience does not count toward SD/PCU experience at this facility
Must be available to float within Premier Health hospitals (Dayton, Centerville, Englewood) based on census and needs
No local travelers accepted (local radius is 50 miles)
Maximum of 14 days Requested Time Off (RTO) allowed per contract; no schedule requests or RTO negotiated after offer

Provide professional skilled care to a diverse patient population, including but not limited to:
- Cerebrovascular accident (CVA)
- Transient ischemic attack (TIA)
- Seizures
- Brain tumors
- Complex spinal surgeries
- Neuro disease processes
Perform TR Band removal and other special procedures
Operate specialized equipment, including:
- Heated high flow respiratory devices
- BIPAPs
- Trach/vents
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretaries
Support nursing care teams, including high-risk respiratory units/COVID units, as assigned

Traveler will be first to float at Premier’s discretion
Agency may float traveler in/out of specialty clusters
Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract
Premier Health reserves the right to cancel the agreement with 2 weeks’ notice without fee or fine
