Registered Nurse - PACU (Part-Time)

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on the nursing process; maintain standard of care for assigned patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Oversee and guide employees under supervision.
• Perform nursing care for patients in the immediate postoperative/post‑anesthesia period (PACU), assessing patient status, communicating with surgeon, physician, and anesthesia providers, and documenting care given.
• Tailor nursing care to the type of anesthesia administered (general or monitored) and the procedure/surgery performed (ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedic, pain management).
• Provide care for both pediatric and adult patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum one year of post‑anesthesia care unit (PACU) experience OR minimum two years of experience in outpatient surgery, Medical/Surgical, ED, or ICU nursing.

Schedule

Must be available for 3 day shifts per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). Friday availability required two times per month based on staffing levels.
