Registered Nurse PACU

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team at a 672-bed short-term acute care hospital in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience caring for high-acuity post-operative patients and possess a strong critical care background. This role requires exceptional clinical judgment, the ability to manage hemodynamically unstable patients during Phase I recovery, and flexibility to float within the perioperative services as needed. Position Details Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 9:30 PM or 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM)Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekPatient Ratios: Days: 1:2, Nights: 1:2 Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience OR 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required. Demonstrated experience caring for high-acuity PACU patients. Proficiency in recovering patients from various surgeries including orthopedic, spine, neurosurgery, general, oncology, and gynecological. Experience managing patients requiring ventilator support. Ability to provide care for hemodynamically unstable patients during Phase I post-anesthesia recovery. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Required Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Scheduling & Requirements Weekend coverage required based on department needs. No on-call requirement. Block scheduling is not available. Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO). Floating Requirements Clinicians must be willing to float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs, including: Pre-Operative UnitPACUPhase II RecoveryHelping Hands assignments throughout the hospital Candidate Eligibility Pending state license accepted. Local candidates residing within a 100-mile radius are not eligible.
