About the role
Per diem PACU Registered Nurse providing post-anesthesia care for surgical patients.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring patients emerging from anesthesia
- Managing airways, pain, and hemodynamic stability
- Administering IV medications and responding to patient condition changes
- Documenting accurately in the EHR
- Providing patient and family education
- Ensuring safe handoffs to inpatient units or discharge
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered Nurse licensure
- Experience in post-anesthesia care preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a patient-centered environment
