Registered Nurse - Outpatient Dialysis

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering individualized dialysis care by utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They coordinate patient care, perform assessments, educate patients, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes. The role requires practicing within the full scope of nursing standards, documenting patient information accurately, and using technology to enhance care quality. Supervision of unlicensed personnel and accountability for patient care are key responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Unencumbered RN license in the practice state or multistate licensure
• Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in nursing
• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and competencies

Key Duties

• Provide comprehensive dialysis nursing care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and interventions per standards
• Use technology for patient care and team communication
• Supervise unlicensed staff and ensure compliance with practice standards
