Registered Nurse - Outpatient Cardiology

The Care Team RN role involves providing comprehensive nursing care within the Cardiology Outpatient Practice, focusing on Pericardial and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinics. Responsibilities include pre-visit preparation, direct patient care, patient and family education, and care transitions. The RN collaborates effectively with healthcare providers and team members, adhering to the Mayo Nursing Care Model and ANA standards. Leadership is demonstrated through preceptorship, quality improvement, and participation in committees or projects. The role requires excellent communication, mentoring skills, and the ability to delegate appropriately based on patient acuity, experience, and resources. Qualifications include a nursing degree from an accredited program, one year of RN experience (cardiology preferred), and valid RN licensure with BLS certification. Additional skills include teamwork, critical thinking, adaptability, and computer proficiency. It is a part-time role with a schedule of Monday to Friday, dayshift, totaling 48 hours per pay period.
