About the Role

Join INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system, as a Registered Nurse on the Ortho MS team. The Staff Registered Nurse is responsible for managing and delivering patient care using the nursing process. This role may require floating to other units or participating in on-call status and adheres to population-specific competencies and National Patient Safety Goals.

This position may involve physical demands, including assisting with patient restraints (for Mental Health staff), and potential exposure to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Standard precautions must be followed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessment and re-assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
  • Provide appropriate patient care interventions and document care delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate licensed and non-licensed personnel in patient care.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to non-licensed personnel and students as needed.
  • Report to the appropriate manager, director, or vice president.
  • Mental Health staff: Assist with physical restraint of patients using the identified Behavior Management Technique System.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or a current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire (Hospice: CPR in lieu of BLS).
  • Additional certifications and competencies as required by the service line.
  • Effective communication in English (verbal and written).
  • Hospice and Employee Health: Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and proof of current automobile liability insurance.
  • INTEGRIS Mental Health: Valid Oklahoma State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier (for operating INTEGRIS-owned or personal vehicles).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hospice: CHPN (Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse) certification.
