Role Overview

Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient-centered care and adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops and updates individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Delivers direct patient care, delegates tasks appropriately, and monitors care quality to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Utilizes evidence-based practices, incorporates cost containment, and applies technology in daily practice.
  • Evaluates patient responses, revises care plans, and documents progress, ensuring continuity of care and smooth discharge planning.
  • Educates patients and families, assesses learning needs, and promotes participation in care.
  • Maintains compliance with organizational policies, licensure requirements, and regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, SC DPH).
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and performance monitoring.
  • Serves as a patient advocate and collaborates effectively with the healthcare team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • At least one year of RN experience or equivalent residency/program completion.
  • Current RN licensure recognized in the practice state.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Additional Information:

This role reports to a supervisor and involves variable shifts. It is based in an inpatient hospital environment, with responsibilities including compliance, safety, patient education, and team collaboration.
