Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide holistic, patient-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs, recognizing signs and symptoms, and reporting abnormal data.
• Diagnosis and Planning: Identify patient problems, develop individualized care plans with measurable goals, and communicate these plans effectively using SBAR and handoff processes.
• Implementation: Deliver evidence-based care, perform and delegate nursing actions, provide patient and family education, and respond promptly to emergencies while maintaining safety protocols.
• Evaluation: Continuously assess the effectiveness of nursing interventions, adjust care plans as needed, and ensure seamless continuity during handoffs and transfers.
• Documentation: Accurately document all aspects of care in electronic records, including plans, updates, and patient responses.
• Leadership & Professional Development: Demonstrate leadership by mentoring peers, participating in committees, research, and quality improvement activities, and maintaining competency through ongoing education and certifications.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN licensure and BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months for certain units.
• Educational requirements include a BSN within 5 years of hire for most nurses; MSN or DNP preferred but not required.
• No specific experience required; strong communication skills, cultural competence, and ability to adapt to change are essential.
• Additional responsibilities: Adherence to policies, active participation in professional growth activities, and maintaining excellent attendance.
