Registered Nurse - Oncology

About the Role

This role involves leading and coordinating nursing staff in a 22-bed Oncology unit, ensuring delivery of quality patient care for cancer and medical-surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts.
• Assess patient care needs, develop care assignments, and evaluate care effectiveness.
• Respond to patient care concerns and manage issues to achieve desired outcomes.
• Contribute to staff performance evaluations and assist in hiring, training, and development.

Requirements

• Current RN license by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS may be required within 6 months for certain units.
