About the Role

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Directs and coordinates nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Serves as a resource person when needed. Applies age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care. Supports Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation’s mission statement. Provides care for all patients from birth to elderly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality, cost-effective, and efficient care.
• Serve as a resource for complex patient care situations.
• Apply age-specific and culturally appropriate care considerations.
• Support the organization’s mission in all patient care activities.

Requirements

• Completion of a nursing education program from an NLN-approved institution.
• Licensed in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Alaska.
• Current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of recent OB experience preferred.

Pay

Minimum hourly pay: $48.57.

Schedule

• Full-time position (80 hours per two-week pay period).
• 40 hours per week.
