Registered Nurse - Neuroscience Center (Day/Night)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a high-tech Neuroscience Center unit. The unit has received awards such as the Daisy Award nominations and Beacon Award, exemplifying a commitment to excellence in stroke and neurological care.

Responsibilities

• Conducting detailed neurological assessments and managing patients with conditions such as strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and seizure disorders.
• Monitoring intracranial pressure (ICP), titrating medications, and managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, and CRRT.
• Providing telemetry monitoring and ensuring comprehensive neurological patient care, including NIHSS stroke certification.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including LPNs, PCNAs, providers, respiratory therapy, social work, speech therapy, PT, OT, and dietary staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program.
