Responsibilities
- Utilize detailed neurological assessments
- Perform ICP Monitoring
- Titrate medications
- Manage surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, and CRRT
- Care for patients with neurological disorders
- Obtain NIHSS Certification for Stroke care
- Perform Telemetry monitoring
- Manage time and critical thinking
- Delegate tasks
- Maintain seizure disorder monitoring/care
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
Qualifications
The unit has received multiple Daisy Award nominations and Beacon Award Gold Standard of Care for Stroke Patients.
