Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Observation

About the Role

Provides direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to promote patient dignity, rights, and health restoration. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, ensuring safety and cost-effective practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on their medical conditions.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with procedures.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
• Address psychosocial needs and communicate with social services for discharge planning.
• Utilize nursing knowledge for treatments and services.
• Prioritize care efficiently, promote safety, and practice lifelong learning.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Computer literacy.
• RN licensure and BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
