Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Observation

About the Role

This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in an assigned setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. It requires delivering high-quality care through critical thinking, nursing processes, compassion, integrity, and respect, while preserving patient autonomy and dignity. The role includes performing general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizing care, along with other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess patients based on their medical conditions
• Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments
• Provide age-appropriate care and assist with self-care activities
• Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in care delivery
• Assist physicians with procedures and utilize technical skills
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services
• Practice cost-effective resource management
• Prioritize patient care efficiently and promote safety
• Engage in ongoing professional learning

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Computer literacy
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire
