Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Observation

Role Overview This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in various clinical settings. The nurse collaborates with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, ensuring high-quality care through critical thinking, compassion, and respect. Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, delivering age-appropriate care, and educating patients and families. The role emphasizes patient safety, cost-effective practices, and continuous professional development. Key Responsibilities Assessing patients accurately based on their medical condition.Administering prescribed medications and treatments.Providing care tailored to patient age and condition, including self-care activities.Developing and evaluating patient and family education plans.Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.Supporting physicians during procedures and performing technical services.Addressing psychosocial needs and communicating with social services for discharge planning.Practicing resource management and promoting patient safety.Engaging in lifelong learning to stay current in nursing practice. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Computer literacy.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.Preferred certifications include ACLS and PALS.
