About the Role

The nurse provides direct and indirect patient care in various settings, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes. They utilize critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to assess patients, administer medications, and perform treatments appropriately based on age and condition. The role includes patient education, addressing psychosocial needs, and promoting safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition accurately and administer prescribed medications.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans.
• Perform treatments and communicate effectively with team members.
• Support psychosocial and discharge planning needs.
• Prioritize patient care and promote safety practices.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.

• Ensure cost-effective use of resources.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure and BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Computer literacy is essential.
