About the role
Provides direct and indirect patient care in various care settings, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to restore health while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizes tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patients accurately based on their medical condition.
- Administers medications as prescribed and provides age-appropriate care, including self-care activities.
- Develops and evaluates patient and family education plans.
- Utilizes nursing knowledge for treatments and services.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team and assists physicians with procedures.
- Addresses psychosocial needs and communicates with social services for discharge planning.
- Practices cost-effective care, manages supplies efficiently, and promotes patient safety.
- Engages in lifelong learning to enhance nursing skills.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
- Computer literacy required; ACLS/PALS certifications preferred.
