Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Multiple Shifts

About the Role

This role involves providing direct nursing care in a 24-bed acute care unit, managing patients with medical conditions such as respiratory illnesses, sepsis, diabetes, and hypertension.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Execute physician and nursing orders
• Assist with discharge planning
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care following organizational policies
• Communicate and document patient conditions accurately
• Serve as a primary coordinator among healthcare disciplines
• Support discharge planning and patient education

Requirements

• Current RN licensure or eligibility in Alabama
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program
