Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical (Inpatient) FT Nights

About the role

Provide direct medical-surgical care in accordance with organizational policies and protocols. Apply standards of nursing practice to enhance patient care and quality of life through systematic evaluation. Establish effective relationships with patients and families, acting as an advocate for personalized care plans. Use the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care, including assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes. Consider physical, cultural, social, and spiritual factors influencing health responses. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, communicate effectively, and participate in shared decision-making. Educate patients and families on health maintenance, restoration, and comfort measures. Mentor colleagues and foster a positive work environment. Apply evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs. Perform point-of-care testing and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
  • Valid nursing license in the respective state with BLS certification.
  • No prior experience required.

Physical and Technical Skills

  • Constant communication, standing, walking, and data entry.
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs, occasional heavier lifting, patient movement, and bending.
  • Use of vision, hearing, smell, and manual dexterity for clinical tasks.

Licenses and Certifications

  • RN license issued by the state or a compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
